among the hottest names in sunglasses today. Gucci Sunglasses offer
sleek contemporary styling with just a hint of sex appeal.
Eyewear that sizzles. Gucci sunglasses show off
your own unique sense of style. The hallmark of Gucci
eyewear is the fine Italian craftsmanship and materials.

In the global market for luxury
goods, Gucci Group is one of the world's leading multi-brand
companies. Through its brands, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent,
Sergio Rossi, Boucheron, Roger & Gallet, Bottega
Veneta, Bédat & Co., Alexander McQueen, Stella
McCartney and Balenciaga, the Group designs, produces
and distributes high-quality personal luxury items,
including ready-to-wear, handbags, luggage, small leather
goods, shoes, timepieces, jewelry, ties and scarves,
eyewear, perfume, cosmetics and skincare products. The
Group's retail network includes directly-operated stores
in major markets throughout the world, and its wholesale
activity includes sales to franchise stores, duty free
boutiques and leading department and specialty stores.

Distinct high quality merchandise:
Gucci Group prides itself on offering ready-to-wear
and accessories of the highest quality. This entails
a combination of the best quality raw materials; a proven
production process; attention to detail; the best craftmanship;
a unique and evolving style as defined by a strong creative
team; a clearly defined brand image, as well as the
right positioning in the luxury goods market place.
Controlled distribution
As a global luxury goods company, management of the
distribution is critical in positioning the brand as
an exclusive and wanted entity. Gucci operates a network
of directly operated stores throughout the world. This
means the management are able to control the brand image
as well as monitor supply and demand instantly. Whilst
Gucci Group products can be found in
selected wholesale retailers, the venues are carefully
chosen to offer the desired exposure to a
desired market, while again keeping image control and
costs to a minimum.
Solid Solid execution
Gucci Group is further distinguished by its deeply rooted
entrepreneurial culture and understanding of the luxury
goods industry combined with the ability and willingness
to rapidly
implement change, particularly in the face of adversity
or opportunity.
Gucci continues
to expand its global presence by opening a number of
new stores worldwide.
In September
2000, Gucci reopened its newly renovated Fifth Avenue
Store - the largest Gucci Flagship store in the world.
After Tom
Ford leaves his post in April 2004, Gucci appoints three
new Creative Directors from within the company. Alessandra
Facchinetti is responsible for the Women's Ready to
Wear Collections, John Ray for the Men's Ready to Wear
Collections and Frida Giannini for the Accessories Collections.
The new Creative Directors report to Giacomo Santucci,
Gucci's President and Chief Executive Officer.
